LI IVF-
I'm going to LI IVF this week for a 2nd opinion. I'm seeing Dr. Keinsburg. I've been seeing another RE for over a year now and I'm not PG. Any info you can give on Dr. Keinsburg or LI IVF would be greatlly appreciated. TIA

Re: LI IVF-
I am a patient at LI IVF and I have been pleased with the staff there. I see Dr. Brenner. My only complaint, which I think is common with RE's, is that I rarely see my doctor. I speak to him on the phone and meet with him when I schedule an appointment to talk about next step treatment options. Other than that, all the monitoring is done by nurses and PA's.

Re: LI IVF-
I was a patient of Dr. Kenigsbergs for about a year. I was very happy with LI-IVF, but I must warn you that Dr. K is not a warm and fuzzy type of guy. He gives it to you straight and doesn't really mince words. He was exactly what I wanted in an RE. If you don't like his "bedside manner" you might want to meet with Dr. Brenner, he is much more personal.

Re: LI IVF-
Thank you for responding. I'm looking for someone that is aggressive and can figure out why we're not getting PG. I'v had all tests done, used clomid for 3 natural cycles and 4 IUI's. I'm almost 36 and would like to move to IVF. I was seing Dr. San Roman and feel I wasted my time there.

I was in exactly the same boat as you. I was seeing SanRoman and getting nowhere for a year. He also said I didn't need testing that I asked for. When I went to Dr. K, I had all preliminary testing done before he started any protocol and found out I had blocked tubes.

Did you ever try injectables with IUI? Sometimes that is a step before IVF.

Re: LI IVF-
That's what SanToman wanted to do next. We don't want to wait any longer for a couple of reasons.
1. We've been going through this for over a year. 2. I'm almost 36 and DH is almost 40. 3. I know injectables will increase the # of eggs, but I already had 5-6 eggs with clomid and I'm still not PG. 4. We have used a lot of our insurance money and I want to make sure I hve enough for IVF.
I feel like Dr. San Roman is missing something. For the past year everything was timed perfectly and it didn't work. I'm curious to see whar Dr. K says. I just want this to happen already.

Re: LI IVF-
I recently switched to Dr K for the exact same reasons. We are going to be doing IVF June/July depending on the lab schedule. Like PP said Dr. K gives it to you straight. I am really happy there. Has your DH had an SA done? Just wondering b.c thats a lot of follies for an IUI, thats great! We have severe male factor and just did our 2nd IUi before moving straight to IVF.

I totally understand your wanting results sooner rather than later. If you insurance will cover it, I say go for IVF and best of luck!
