LH surge question
is it right after your LH surge that the egg is released or is it released during your LH surge??? The reason I"m asking is I got two pos OPK's and FF is showing me that I O'd on the first day of my OPK, so I'm thinking the second smiley caught the surge going down?? Does that make sense? I'm just trying to figure out how many DPO I am

How many days were between the pos OPK's? I was reading that you can release a second egg 24 hours after releasing the first.

The LH surge happens right before the egg is released. You're probably right; the 2nd OPK probably caught the end of the surge.

for people that have twins in their family, that's how it happens. its when two dominant follicles stay dominant and 2 eggs get released but it generally happens WITHIN 24 hours, not 24 hours later. and it would all be part of the same surge, you wouldnt surge twice.
it doesnt happen that often (if ever) if you arent genetically prone to it or on fertility meds.

What she said! As far as when the egg is released, it's anywhere from 12-36 hours after the LH surge. You're probably right about catching the end of the surge with that second OPK.
