Let's talk Cribs....
I know that everything is regulated, etc..
But in your travels-- who has the BEST QUALITY cribs?
This is the ONLY piece of furniture we are buying-- so, we want to make sure we get something that not only looks nice, but is of high quality in all aspects.
I poked around a little over the weekend, and was not impressed with quality looks-wise.

Re: Let's talk Cribs....
I found the cribs were pretty much the same or similiar quality every where I went form Bellinni, Behrs to BBB. The difference I found where in the detail work of the cribs and the construction of dressers and drawers. I wanted a high quality dresser if we were purchasin a lifetime crib b/c DS would use it for years!

If you are into quality I highly suggest you check out Munire. I hated everything I saw and finally liked their style and quality. The drawers are on rollers and open effortlessly.

I also like the Munire Brand.
In addition Natart and Stanley both make nice quality sets.

Re: Let's talk Cribs....
I hate to say it, but I think quality and cost are fairly independent of each other in crib-land. I think you should just look at cribs and check for:
solid wood (no particle board or veneers-the glues degass!)
solidly built wooden drawer (if there is one). Dove tail joints are best. once again, no cardboard /particle board/veneers
Try to shake the crib, it should feel solid.
Rollers on a drawer are always good.
Our crib actually came from babymod (in walmart of all places) and is solid wood and the drawer has rollers. the only negative is no dovetail joints in the drawer.... very solid and only $300.
good luck!
