Install blinds in nursery (when they come in). Figure out what to do with cord blood banking kit (carry it on the train when I commute? leave it in my go-bag?) Have baby!
Updating our wills, beneficiaries and enrolling in a 529 plan will all happen after... some of those can't be done until after they're born anyway.

Re: lets make a "to do" list...
Spent the weekend pulling out all of my DD's baby stuff (I saved evvvvvvverything) and going through it all. Bottles are now ready, every baby item has been cleaned and set up, sterilized all the infant toys, teethers, and binkys, and ALL laundry and bedding is washed.
Left on my list........... Painting DS room, have the carpet installed, and then just have to get everything put away in his room. We ordered his furniture a few weeks ago.
We are getting there!!!!

You should add go shopping on a whim - as in "I just feel like checking out the Valentine's Day stuff Target has," and go to as many late dinners that are decided on last minute because that will never happen again!
As for me, we have quite a list and 4 1/2 (or less!) weeks...
wash all clothes prepare bags for hospital wrap present from new baby to DD get present from DD to new baby Buy nursing tanks, pads, lanolin, other hospital necessities Take out and assemble bassinet, pnp, car seat, etc Finish picking hats and blankets so my mom can make them for newborn shoot plan DD's birthday party (it will be within a few weeks of new baby's birth)
Oh, and all within the time span of getting ready for a huge audit by the United States Department of Education since I'm the person in charge of that at my job!

pack hospital bag and get this baby outta me!!!!
OH... and to answer your question you should have 60 days (some only 30 days) after you have the baby to add them to your insurance. you can't do it before they are born

and i only have 31 days to add her they said not to wait for a SS Card/# to do it.

Re: lets make a "to do" list...
My list is sooooo long it's not even funny!!! Luckly I'm only 23 weeks, but still. We need to come up with $20k in order to finish our addition so baby has a nursery!!!! AH!!!! I just wish that my mortgage company wasn't holding all of our insurance money!!! NOT FAIR!!!!

We haven't done anything so my list is LONG but I just hit 18 weeks so I have plenty of time....right?
-clean out guest room -clean out closet in guest room -clean out linen closer -clean out cabinets to make room for bottles and everything else -order baby furniture -register -paint the nursery -find a church for the Christening -get a hospital bag (I don't really have a bag small enough to just bring to the hospital) -pack a hospital bag -order everything we need that we don't get at the shower -this list is starting to give me anxiety so this is all I'm going to write for now...I have MAJOR OCD but can't lift furniture or paint so I have to wait for my VERY relaxed DH to start on everything...drives me INSANE!

Re: lets make a "to do" list...
I have a lot of time too, but these are on my radar for the immediate future.
~I've been meaning to order some pregnancy books off amazon since I found out and still haven't done it. Want to do this asap. ~Register when we find out the sex. ~Paint and decorate the nursery. I have themes in mind whether or but will definitely be easier if LO is a girl. ~Book maternity and newborn shoots. ~Baby shower stuff. Mom is hosting but I'm basically organizing, so there's a bunch of stuff to do. ~Maternity Clothes - I'm dreading this actually. Clothes are starting to get tight but at 14w, I'm not quite ready for full-fledged maternity clothes. I'm uncomfortable though.
Will be boring ideas from here when I am further along.
