Let's discuss scratching the face...
DS is 4 months (yesterday), and I clip and files his nails...however, he always manages to scratch his face while he is sleeping....he never really did this that much, but now it is 2 days in a row...
I put Aquaphor in it, and it disappears quickly, but still annoying! I really don't want to put the mittens on him..although i will tonight...
Anyone else DC's do this?

UGH - let me know! Loey does this too..
when he's tired... he stretches and scratches on his face and pulls/scratches his ears!
i came home yesterday and he had a BIG scratch right on his little nose! it makes me so sad!

I know! But he doesn't wake up when he does it, so he doesn't even feel it!
But when I see it, I get sad!

John does that same thing.. I find it's worse after i cut the nails. so I try and make sure the corners of the nails are curved and I try and file them after i cut them.. It's gotten better but still manages to scratch himself!!

Try using a nail file or buffer after you cut his nails to make sure it's smooth

Ohhhh yes!!!! Lexi does this all the time. When she's tired she goes crazy rubbing and scatching her whole face. She has two scratches on her nose. I feel so bad too...especially when they bleed :(

Umm, have you seen pics of my son?? Nearly 6 months old and I still can't trust him with his own hands. I sent him to my MIL's today without socks or mittens and pray he isn't returned to me with scratches
