I just asked my very "good" friend Leslie if the needle hurts and she replies with:
"Like a mother f*&cker"

I did not find it to hurt. It was a weird feeling & I felt a little pressure when they were getting to a fluid pocket, but I barely felt the needle at all.

I have to admit- it DID hurt when I had it done. And I am not a wimp when it comes to pain. It hurt more than I was expecting though.
I'm assuming it hurt more than others because my stomach is still a little stretched out from DD#1- so it was harder for the needle to go through than for someone who's stomach is *tighter*.
The pain was very brief- just when it went into the uterus, then it was fine.

I have heard both
My sister said by the time it hurt, the needle was coming out
My SIL said it felt like a pinch and then of course there is Leslie's response

I had both done when I had CVS with each pregnancy. Once with the needle and this time vaginally. The needle procedure was a tiny bit uncomfortable but that was it. Easy-
The vaginal procedure for CVS- IS AMAZINGLY painful and uncomfortable. I wish I asked him to go through my belly again He said he doesn't usually because most people are scared of needles!

haha..
see I am not scared about the needle in my stomach. I have given myself far too many of those from the IVF and needles dont bug me.
I am more concerned about what it feels like on the INSIDE....
