Leftover embryos at LI IVF
Has anyone started there recently that can tell me what the paperwork said as far as options for leftover embryos? I called and left a message but nobody called back. I cannot afford the storage fees anymore, now that they've doubled, so I need to make a decision, soon. Thanks!!

you had to make a choice on leftover before stimms I believe. Options were donate to science, donate to another couple or discard.

Do you mind me asking how many frozen embryos that you have? Dr. Braverman has been looking for donor embryos for us. They can be transferred to him.

How much is LI IVF's storage fee as I know they just merged with East Coas Fertility and I have embryos there?

I think I pay $165 every 3 months.
Starting in April, it will be $300 every 3 months.

Yes- I spoke to a woman in the billing dept. and she said alot of patients didn't receive the memo. I am at the same crossroads and had them mail me the paperwork to sign to donate/discard, whatever.

I am a former East Coast Fertility patient, who now merged with LI IVF. East Coast would always say $100/month=to the same $1,200 a year as LI IVF that you are stating it went up to. However, if you called them, and payed upfront $600(I always did) then it was half the price. I never pay ontime, usually my bill is due in October. I wait til my tax refund(been doing this for 3 years now with no issues) and use some of that $ so I don't "feel it". When I called last week to make that $600 payment the women told me(who knows if its BS), "good thing I called" because now that they merged with LI IVF they have no idea what will happen and if they will still offer that deal. Reality is, we, the IF patients are sufferning, both emotionally and financially in today's world. Have a heart for christ sake and at the VERY least don't up your prices, BASTARDS!
