Leapfrog Leap Pad or Tablet
My son will be 3 and he LOVES playing games on my phone and Kindle. I was wondering if anyone can let me know if the Leap Pad Tablet is any good or if I should get an inexpensive tablet. It will be just for my son so def. don't want to get an ipad.
Thanks!

my 3 year old likes our tablet but also plays with the leap pad... I consider them different... The leappad has so many good games , videos and stuff on there, the tablet my son plays golf, scrabble and a match game, we have to constantly watch him on their to make sure he doesn't click a bad you tube link or purchase apps.

Re: Leapfrog Leap Pad or Tablet
I looked long and hard at the leap pad last christmas. I was told the apps all cost $ and the quality wasn't great. We ended up getting the ipad3. The kids started destroying our new ipad so we got them a kindle. At first the kindle seemed like a great cheaper compromise (very similiar in price with the leap pad) but the kids always preferred the ipad. We ended up selling the kindle and they are back to loving the ipad. Nothing else compares.
Many of our friends give their children an ipad or an itouch over the leap pad. The kids get the lower generation ipad and the parents get the upgraded one.
