Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
I never used it but hear great things . Saw it at the store yesterday , it's such a small tube and so $40
Is it worth the money? how long does one tube last if you use it every day? AND DO YOU REALLY LOVE IT?
Thanks
UPDATE:
OK so I went to Sephora and got a sample of L M tinted moisturizer OIL FREE(thinking that my skin will break out with the oily one) and also got a sample of Stila tinted moisturizer also oil free. I just tried both and I did not like how LM goes on my skin, it's very very hard to apply smooth over, has a dry feeling to it, I am not sure if it's bc it's oil free Stila was much easier to apply(smoother ) and feels better on my skin.
I am thinking I'll go with Stila, but now I have to start a new thread and get opinions on that

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users
I NEVER used any kind of foundation / tinted moisturizer b/c it looked awful on me...it would cake in the areas I have dry skin and it would look gross. After reading all the rave reviews, I finally tried the LM tinted moisturizer and all the hype is true...I LOVE it. It is so light and I love the coverage and the fact it is SPF 20. I have been using mine for about 4 months and am about halfway through it. Totally worth the price imo!

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users
it's great and lasts a long time - I've always applied it with a makeup sponge and just recently tried applying it using my fingers and it looks even better

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users
I was on the fence about it also, but when I was in Vegas I stopped to Sephora and bought it with some of my winnings I really like it, but I have oily/acne prone skin so I only use it in the Winter. I use Bare Minerals in the summer. I think I could do it in the summer too, but I woks outside so I don't like any kind of "liquid" on my face. I know it seems like a lot, but it does last a long time and you don't need a moisturizer so it's worth it for me, and it controls the oil and acne, plus it gives a nice coverage. IMHO it's worth it....HTH

So I can apply and run out with DD.
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE, I THINK I AM GOING TO TRY IT

OMG I'm IN LOVE with this product too! I hate looking like I have makeup caked on and it dries up my skin too. I feel like it gives me the pregnancy glow I'm SUPPOSED to be having....lol!
I started wearing it a few months ago too. (BTW- I started applying it with sponges, but now I use my fingers and I think it's not only easier but nicer looking.) Anyway, when I bought it I was going through this time in my pregnancy that I felt and LOOKED pale, drained and sickly. Well, I wore it out to the grocery store one day, and this perfect stranger stopped me and she said "Wow- you look like a healthy, glowing pregnant woman, G-d bless you!" I thanked her, but in my head, I was like OMG, here I am feeling like I'm about to drop dead ,lol, and this woman telling me that I look just the opposite! That's when I realized that it wasn't just me admiring myself in it.
I know you're already sold on the product, but I just thought I'd put my 2 cents in anyway, lol. It's totally worth it!!!

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users
Buy it at Sephora that way if you don't like it you can return it. I tried it but I wasn't crazy about it. I could have used the wrong formula though. I felt it was too sheer for a tinted moisturizer. The past 2 summers (not including this one) I was using Nutriagena tinted moisturizer and loved it. For some reason this year my skin is breaking out from it when I use it.

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
The LM will go on much smoother if you happen to use a primer. I have tried Stila and liked the LM much better, jmo

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
The oil free LM is much thicker and goes on heavier than the non oil free one.
I had the same issue you're describing with the oil free one and the woman at the LM counter in Bloomingdales told me to try applying a thin layer of moisturizer to my face first...that way the tinted moisturizer won't absorb into my skin as much. Also, she said the product was not created as skin care and its more of a foundation. She said you should always use a moisturizer under it.
I LOVE mine now...

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
Are you using a moisturizer before you apply it? I use the oil free. I put on a layer of moisturizer, then a primer then the LM tinted moisturizer and it work great for me. I have never used the Stila tinted moisturizer so I cant judge.

I have never used the Stila tinted moisturizer so I cant judge. Nope, I did not use the moisturizer underneath. For me the whole idea of using the tinted moisturizer is to just apply it and be done. I guess I can try the non oil free, otherwise I'll just stick to what I use now (I love everything I use now, I just wanted something that would be quicker) Plus I can't pay $42 for LM moisturizer and then pay another $15-20 or so for a regular moisturizer to apply under the tinted one, little too much for my budget
Thanks everyone

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
I had the same problem when I tried it on in the store.
I use my regular moisturizer (Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30) & mix it with Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation.

you know, my friend (who is a future make up artist, she is still in school) actually told me yesterday not to waste my money on expensive tinted moisturizer when you get the same result by mixing moisturizer with a little bit of foundation. I didn't even think of doing that.

Re: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer users(UPDATE)
If you use primer it goes on smooth. I also feel that the oil free is thicker than the normal one.
I just started using the LM Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer and I LOVE it!! I have been using the regular and oil free for years but this one is the best. It goes on a little shimmery at first but by the time you get it all over your face it settles in and looks great.
