last month threw me for a loop. huh.

We're not officially TTC until after Thanksgiving (but holy crap that's soon!) but I have been using fertilityfriend to try to at least get an idea of my cycles as I'm a very visual person.

I had a bunch of OPK's that my SIL gave me but they expired last month (just dawned on me maybe this is why, but I'll go on) so I decided to try them to see what happened.

My cycle average is about 31 days.

CD 16: OPK Negative.
CD 19: OPK Positive!
CD 24: Figured I was safe and we BD!
CD 25: EWCM!!

Then I freaked and took a POAS a few days later and negative. I did get AF last week so no dice.

But I'm super confused... I thought 6 days was pretty far apart for a positive OPK and EW.....hmmmm. Plus you would think I would be pregnant now if that were the case (assuming I am healthy and good to go). Like I said thought the test expired that month (though the control line worked) but is it possible to have a false detection?

are you sure it was EWCM and not just CM

i would also not trust the opk 100 percent if it was expired

it all depends if u wanna go by opk or EWCM..

i do not use opk but if i did that is why iw ould go digital.

hahaha. I just looked for a "like" button on your post, forgot I was off FB.

Pretty sure it was EWCM. Not to be gross (though I think boundaries are out the window on this board) but it was stretchy, you know the whole 9.

I know, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm making it worse...

I think that if you had a positive opk cd19, you probably O'd within 24 hours, so on cd 24 you most likely were in the clear to BD and not get a positive on a hpt. As for the ewcm, im not sure..i normally get someting to that effect right before AF comes.

I agree with this. Sometimes CM increases right before AF arives. Happens to me sometimes too.

Def TMI but are you sure it wasn't semen? I have a hard time telling the difference between that and ewcm especially the day after

Thanks guys. Just tryin to get the hang of this, since I never gave it a second thought before. In September I think I pretty much pinpointed it but October definitely threw me off.

I kept putting TTC off and putting it off... because I went back to nursing school, but now I can't take it anymore and I am DETERMINED to get pregnant in either Dec or January ...LOL! Do I set high standards or what....
