Last Minute Overnight Trip
Planning a last minute overnight trip with my husband. Any suggestions on where to go that won't be booked? Something like Port Jeff, Montauk, etc (wanted to try something new). Thanks!

Forget Montauk most places have 3 night minimum during peak season (summer)

Re: Last Minute Overnight Trip
Even though most places will have a 2-3 night minimum in summer, I would call any place you're interested in. Since you're doing it last minute, if they have availability they may be willing to be flexible.

Last Minute Overnight Trip
I booked the Marriot in Newport last minute... Only bad thing was the price was greatly inflated.
Maybe Boston could work for you?

Re: Last Minute Overnight Trip
DH and I just came back from a weekend in Philly. It was actually pretty random. I knew I wanted to do a weekend away and I chose the hotel believe it or not for the Fuji soaking tubs. Then the weekend that worked out happened to be July 4 so we did a lot of historical stuff but you don't have to. The food scene in Philly is pretty great and we had some amazing meals along with some fun stuff like franklin fountain, federal donuts, and insomnia cookies.
At first DH was pretty "meh" on going to Philly but it turned out to be a really great trip and we both want to go back.
ETA: From Queens (JFK area) it was about a 2.5 hour drive.

We're going a weekend in Philly later this month...I'm pretty "meh" about it, but it's a family thing....would like some tips/must sees/etc! Can I PM you?
