Las Vegas

So - DH and I decided to take his parents to Las Vegas for there 40th wedding anniversary... As well as our 2nd... We honeymooned in vegasas well so it going to be really cool. But I need help - What are the cool things to do and see, where to eat, what about a show or something... Any help would be great... The first time we went was crazy because we just got married and it was the start of our honeymoon, we were also going to Hollywood and San Diego for 5-days each so I was completely overwhelmed... I want to make this trip special without breaking the bank you know what I mean... So please help.....

Thanks

Re: Las Vegas

I love Vegas. I have a best friend who lives there. There is so much to do there.

Stratosphere
Paris (eiffel (sp) tower)
Venetian you can take a gondola ride
Belagio water fountains in front
mirage Volcano
TI has a show out front for free.

We usually go down town one night. Its "old" las Vegas. The have a light show.

When we were there we saw Penn and Teller. It was pretty good. They are at the RIO.. Which is my FAVORITE hotel I think. I wanted to stay at the venetian and they treated us like GARBAGE totally different at the Rio. Only down side is its off the strip. BUT that means usually cheaper and they have a shuttle that takes you to Harrahs (their sister company) for free. Its also right by the Palms (real world)

Theres nice restaurants in the venetian I remember.

If you are going to be there for a while and want to get away from the casinos... There is Lake Mead which is very pretty... Also Hoover Dam pretty cool. And of course the grand canyon but that is about 5 hours away.

ETA: I think its called "o" And It GOT VERY GOOD reviews.

"O" is a Cirque de Soleil show at the Bellagio. It's supposed to be really good.

We went to Vegas for our HM! We LOVED it! I totally reccommend "Zumanity" which is in New York New York hotel which is a Cirque De Soliel show, but just so you know, it is very s ex ual and talks ALOT about it. We also saw Penn and Teller and they were fantastic.

Hey, did you ever think of renewing your vows? We did at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel by an Elvis impersonator! It was the best time ever! There are so many other chapels too that do normal renewals also.

There is so much to do there, I could go on for days! Chat Icon
