Landlord question

Hello. I tried to do a search, but it didn't work. Is anyone here a landlord? I'm about to rent out my old condo, and I was wondering if I need landlord insurance or if someone had a recommendation of a company.

i used to be a LL for my old condo in Queens (recently sold it). I used to get all my forms on TheLPA.com (Landlord Protection Agency). They have a message board thats really helpful for new landlords and assistance in dealing with tenants (esp if they fail to pay or do property damage).

Yes. Instead of regular homeowner's insurance, you need landlord insurance. Talk to your insurance company about changing it. Unfortunately, it's more expensive than regular homeowners insurance.
