Looking to get away for the weekend or just a day trip.
We do not have kids. Is Lancaster worth the trip??

This. It kind of sucks there. Not many good food options either. But I do it for DD.

The food totally sucks! Too bland for my taste.

I dunno, I guess that depends if you are really into amish, and checking out the foliage/covered bridges, etc. There are really nice parts of Lancaster and has enjoyed her trips with just her friends (no kids). My Grandma LOVES Lancaster , but from reading your posts on Travel, I'm not sure you would really enjoy it! Maybe New Hope?

DC is great but don't go this weekend, there is a marathon Sunday and it will be difficult to get around.
