Wow, I don't know that I'd pay more than $100 for a lamp, but that's not a choice on your poll! What kind of lamp are we talking about here?

Re: lamps

It's on sale today for 30% off but it originally cost $295. So it would be 206.50. Currently my lamps cost less than $100 each so this would be a huge jump up for me. http://www.horchow.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=cprod78900012&parentId=cat9590737&masterId=cat000097&index=0&cmCat=cat000000cat1590731cat000097cat9590737

I also love this one from Mitchel Gold but I am not sure how much it costs. I think it is most likely to be about 200. http://www.mgbwhome.com/GENEVIEVE-TABLE-LAMP-P9692.aspx

The last one is from restoration hardware and it is the most money. I love it but cannot see paying these prices so I am wondering if I am crazy to want these lamps. http://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod1156338&categoryId=cat1597020

Same here. None of our lamps are anywhere near $100, and I can't imagine paying that much in the future, either.

Re: lamps

I would spend over $100 if it was an AMAZING lamp. But with so many knock offs now, you can find great looking lamp, nice quality too, not just cheap for under $100. Or I get them on sale.

Re: lamps

I generally spend no more than $100 on a lamp. However, my daughter-in-law has bought some beautiful lamps that cost between $200-$300 each, some which were bought at Horchow like the first one you posted. You really can tell what great quality they are. Good luck with your decision!

I'm in your boat - trying to get DH on board with spending $150-200 for a few lamps.

Re: lamps

Ok so it was my birthday this past week and I received money. Am I insane - I think I am going to say I am spending the money on the lamps? I am crazy right? DH leaves all decorating to me but he does have a say on budget or if he absolutely does not like it....

and now that I read on barb's thread about college costs maybe I need to rethink purchasing lamps....

I spent $220 EACH on my bedroom lamps. Chat Icon

I wouldn't pay that money for the first two lamps you posted - the colored ones. I feel like I could find those cheaper.

I would pay an arm and a leg for the RH lamps. Those are GORGEOUS. I've been looking for a lamp for my LR. I may have to buy that accent lamp. Chat Icon

Re: lamps

If you could find them cheaper please let me know where. I am completely ok with that. I have loved the RH lamps for a few years. I love them so much. I may get one for my living room. Unfortunately DH is not on the same page as me. I love that lamp so much. It happens to be the knock off. The original one for that lamp is over $500. Chat Icon

Re: lamps

$100

External Image

That's the closest I could find - with the edges on the lamp... kwim? Nothing with a crystal base like the ones you posted...

I searched blue table lamps on lampsplus.com

Re: lamps

It is the clear crystal part juxtaposed with the colorful lamp that I love. To me the colorful part seems overdone and I could find that anywhere. I liked how they were different. I will have to try home goods again.
