But her voice has always been there. Every time I have seen her on a awards show etc she was phenomenal
For me, I guess I was always too distracted by her getups to really "hear" her.
I was always thinking?
"what kind of meat is that on her hip?"
"Why does she look like Ralph Macchio from The Outsiders?"
"Why does she look like a big vagina?"
It was so refreshing to see just her, Stefani on stage last night. In her princess dress, minimal makeup and a tame wig on sing her F'in heart out.
ITA! And this was such a different style of singing, and one that is so much more accessible than the over-produced pop she usually puts out. The focus here was her voice and nothing else ... not the crazy sound effects, not the stupid getups, nothing but her singing beautifully. I have never heard her sound anything even close to that, and I was so blown away and impressed!

Arggg does anyone know where I can see a good version of her performance? I'm not into awards shows so I missed it last night, but I've been trying to watch it on YouTube all day and it keeps skipping parts and is really slow. Does my internet suck or is there no good way to view this?
Go to ABC Television Network on FB. They have an excellent version.
And I always loved her voice. Even more so after hearing her with Tony Bennett. Last nights performance was the best I've ever heard her. Beautiful.

Don't say that in front of Kanye!!!
I could just imagine him storming the stage in the middle of her performance last night saying, "Imma let you finish Gaga, but Beyonce sings Do Re Mi better than anyone of all time! "

I'm not a fan of hers at all, but this performance was nothing short of amazing. I have a newfound respect for her after last night's performance.
Agreed. I hope she stops with the gimics for good. She is so talented and honestly very pretty. She doesn't need all the weirdness like showing up in a capsule with aliens.
