Probably $50 for me. I'm really hard on my bags so an expensive one isn't a good idea for me.
I never spend a lot on watches, sunglasses or handbags because I ruin them!!

wow
I spent 80-something 2 years ago (that is still my everyday bag) on a bag that was like 80% off, & that I think is as high as I could go.
That was a splurge to me. Normally I won't spend more than $40-$50 & I don't buy bags frequently.

Same here. First of all, my thinking is that I WILL NOT pay money to advertise for a company, meaning no logo stuff here. I will not wear shirts that have a name written on it (tiny emblems don't count), but I won't wear shoes or carry a bag or wear a shirt with the company's name on it. They should be paying me to advertise. Secondly, I just don't have that kind of money. I'd rather go to an antique store and have a one of a kind vintage purse.

Probably $40-$50... I just can't fathom spending several hundred dollars on a bag. Even $40-$50 is a little steep for me... i usually buy mine on sale at kohl's or target for less than $20

I don't think I've ever purchased a bag for myself. They were always gifts and never really expensive/name brand ones either. I'm with those who don't get it too!
ETA: I drive an expensive/luxury car and I still don't get the hand-bag craze.

I'm with you. I bang my bags up so much, I'd never spend too much on them.
And, for me, too, I try to avoid buying leather (vegetarian), so that limits how much I'm going to spend anyway. I guess everyone has their addiction. I'm not into handbags, but I'll drop a lot of money on a nice suit or piece of exercise equipment without hesitation...
