Labor starting and stopping....
...has anyone else dealt with this?
I am almost 39 weeks and spent Fri evening in L&D with uncomfortable contractions every 3-4 minutes but stayed at 2cm, so they sent me home. I had contractions all day Sat but yesterday and today only here and there. This is my 3rd and totally different then my others, where once I started having contractions that was it! Anyone else deal with this? How long did it actually take you to have the baby?

I am experiencing that right now!!! I'm 38 weeks with #2. Last night my contractions were 10 minutes apart and soooo painful, I couldn't sleep all night and stayed home from work today. Now I have slight cramping and that is it! I'm wondering if they'll come back full force tonight.....

Ugh - how frustrating!  I've been having irregular/inconsistent contractions for a few days now & it's driving me insane. They haven't been time-able yet, but sometimes they're very strong and uncomfortable. Yesterday I thought that I was having the baby that night and now today I feel like it's going to drag on for another week

I've been having contractions start and stop like this for about 2 weeks now. Very frustrating! As soon as they get to the point where I start timing them, they stop. Sorry, no real words of advice but hopefully you don't have to wait much longer for the real thing!

I have been going through this for over a week. I have intense contractions 2-3 minutes apart for over an hour and then they just go away. I am now 4cm and the pressure stinks!

I went through that for about 2 weeks on and off before I gave birth to my DD. I would have consistent contractions for several hours then nothing. I even left work early one day bc I thought I was going into labor and didn't want to get stuck in traffic. I didn't go into labor for another week. It was very frustrating.
ETA: It happened so much in those 2 weeks that when I was actually in labor I didnt believe it until I was in labor for over 7 hours.
