Kitchenaid Mixers
Is there a difference between the "flip top" mixers and the ones that have a lever that lifts the bowl up and down.
The lever ones seem to be slighlty more expensive. I was just wondering if there was a big difference.

I think the scond one has a bigger capacity bowl.
The flip top ones I think only go to a 4 qt bowl where as the lever ones got to 6 qt

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the difference. I have one with the lever and the locking feature is really nice. When you're mixing something thick or you're on a high speed, it stays put.
