Kitchen island with ledge/small wall - need help
Anyone have pics of their kitchen island that has a wall and an upper ledge. Our island is flat and I finally convinced DH that we need to make a change to make it more functional as a kitchen space. I don't want the ledge & wall for eating necessarily but the sides that are adjacent to my LR & DR need a wall so I can put kitchen things on it or prep food.
Even if you don't have a pic, if you have a wall, how high is it? How wide is the ledge?

Do you mean something like this?
The "wall" side would be 42" high making it bar height (so you can use a standard bar-height chair- which are taller).
The counter "ledge" that we use is usually around 17" .. that includes 4" for the wall, standard 12" and the drip edge Image Attachment(s):
