anyone just have a kitchen island installed?
We just moved in about 2 months ago. Our kitchen is in great condition and very large. Im considering having an island put in the middle. Anyone know what goes into this? Would they be able to match our existing kitchen or would you need to re-do both to have it match?

The island doesn't have to match the cabinets, in fact, I like it better when it doesn't. As long as the island works with the look of the kitchen, you're good.

I agree with the above poster. Also, you should consider putting an electrical outlet in your island so that you can really utilize this space. A lot of people don't think of this when designing their islands and regret not putting it in.
