Kitchen Design
We are planning on gutting our kitchen and doing all the other stuff, electric...
My question is can I go into home depot, consumer or lowes with measurement to see how I will design my kitchen? I want to do this first so I know where to install outlets and light.
TIA

Re: Kitchen Design
do NOT gut anything until you design your kitchen, know what you are getting!!!!
what you want to do is measure the walls you want to put the cabinets on, and make a rough sketch of what you have now... where windows are, wall measurements, etc.
You can then take those measurements to home depot, lowes (or us- hey we can more than likely offer you custom cabinets at or under what you would be charged for stock at lowes or HD).. and they'll give you an idea of design, do a layout for you, etc.
Then once you have that design, you can go ahead and see what you need done- electrical, plumbing, etc.. see how much time you need for that to happen, how long the cabinets wlll take, etc.. then do your gut..
