Is there such a thing as a contractor who will only do the work (I don't need him to design my kitchen or purchase any supplies)

I'm shopping around to see if my price of $5,400 is reasonable. I put in a request though Service Magic--which I think was a mistake. I already purchased my cabinets, granite, and floor tile. I need someone to do the work. Service Magic has all sorts of people calling my home. Sears called about cabinets. Allure called but they are not interested because they only plan your kitchen from start to finish. Another contractor isn't interested because I already purchased my cabinets and granite. I have a man coming tomorrow but I feel that I should call and cancel because we never discussed the fact that I already bought the supplies.

I'm so confused. Do I need a contractor or a handyman???

I don't see why they "need" to plan out your kitchen. I had Home Depot do a plan and the contractor just followed it. I provided the tiling, cabinets and appliances and had a granite company come in and do that. My contractor got the electrician and plumber and that was included in his price.

a contractor would do it - but since it's spring he may have bigger jobs that take priority.

a handyman would work for most of your needs, but I would worry if you are moving plumbing - i would want a licensed plumber (which the contractor should subcontract out).

You can try my contractor, he gave me the option of buying the supplies on my own or for him to purchase it. His name is Danny 631-445-9114.
