King size bed?

Does anyone regret purchasing a King bed for a smaller bedroom? I'm dying for a King, but our bedroom is tiny, and the bed would take up so much space!!

The dimensions of the room are just over 13'x12'.

Re: King size bed?

We went from a queen to a king a few years ago and omg it was the best thing we ever, EVER did -- I would crisco that thing to squeeze it into a room if I absolutely had to Chat Icon it's SO worth it!

What about a California king? Its 72 inches instead of 76 like a king. Its longer than a king. May fit better in a small room. Queens are 60 inches so you still get alot more room

I feel like it's so hard to find sheets and duvet covers for a california king. Am I wrong?

Nope! We don't regret it at all, and we have a small bedroom. Yes, it takes up a lot of room, but we are very comfortable when we sleep!

Re: King size bed?

My parents had a king in a smaller bedroom and it worked.

I love my king - makes sleeping so much easier with my restless sleeper DH and the cat that sleeps sideways next to me and hogs up half my side.
I would definitely make it work if I had to.

Re: King size bed?

Mine is 14x11 and I have a king bed. Yes it takes up most of the room but there is plenty of room to walk around it still. I had a hard time though finding a set that had smaller night stands to fit the room... So just factor that in.

We have a hand me down California king and I can only find sheets online. They are the same price as king sheets.

King size bed?

My room isn't small but I could not live without my king. Seriously it's amazing!!! I would get one even if I had a much smaller room- for me it's completely worth it!!!!!

Re: King size bed?

I consider my master on the small side and I don't for a second regret my king bed. We both sleep so comfortable. I sacrificed one night stand to have additional room but it was SO worth it

I do like having a king but next time I need to buy a mattress I would like to put two twin beds together. I am not sure what the size would be.

Wouldn't you sink in the middle?

ITA

It's only 2 inches wider and it's 5 inches shorter based on the dimensions I found online.

King size bed?

No, I worried about the same thing. The first day it looked huge but I quickly got used to it and now wonder why it took us so long to get one

In stores its hard but Home goods and Marshalls always has them. We use a king size comforter and it fits really well. I usually buy sheets online any way so its really not hard to find them

Re: King size bed?

Nope so glad we did it and wished we didn't wait 15 years to do so.

My dh lost his night table because of the amount of room but he barely misses it.

I always say that our bedroom is all bed or all furniture, but I don't care - we're both big & tall so it's a necessity for us!
