Has anyone used a pick up to move a king size bed?
Is it possible to move a king size mattress and a pair of box springs in a pick up truck? I have to move it about 100 miles and the prices to rent a small truck with mileage costs is too expensive.

A king mattress is 76" wide x 80" long.
A Dodge Ram has a bed about 77" long, and about 63" wide, so a queen would fit inside the bed with the tailgate down (or the mattress leaning on the closed tailgate.
A king mattress and boxsprings would have to be placed on end to fit them, but it shouldn't be bad, as long as it is well strapped down.
