Kids Place is permantely closed as of today.
If you send your kid there, it's permantely closed. She lied. There will be a sign on the door telling you it's closed effectively immediately.

There were a lot more that were within the last month too... It looks like they came and inspected earlier this month, gave them time to change it, and they came back again last week and told them to close their doors or correct it...
Thats horrible for whoevers children go there. THey should have at least e mailed on Fri Evening or even Sunday evening if they knew they were going to do this for the parents to prepare.

agreed but i cannot even imagine sending my child there. its not even the number of violations (though nauseating) but the TYPE of violations

Unfortunately most people probably don't check for violations. I would bet the parents of the kids that were enrolled as of recently had no idea about most of those. I think the mentality is that if it checks out prior to enrolling, why bother to keep checking if your child is doing well, etc.

OMG! I'm sorry but I don't think you should be given the chance to correct those type of violations! It really should be a zero tolerance policy, those poor kids!

i hope this is a lesson to all! I check every 6 months - because this sort of environment scares the crrraaappp out of me. I am my child's #1 advocate. If I am not ensuring the cleanliness and security of his surroundings then no one is unfortunately.
Things like unsanitary conditions, lack of proper hygeine after bathroom usage and when preparing food, paint peeling, cracked cement, non documentation of bathroom usage, injuries, application of oinments, sunscreens etc i WOULD notice and become suspect. These things should be red flags and should make parents check! I feel for the parents and I am glad this place is shut down.

you also have to wonder - 23 years and ALL of a sudden they are being closed down? Did something happen? Change of ownership or supervisor?
Something had to have changed recently which would also make me suspect.

This was one of the first daycares I looked at in May 2011 and I am not surprised it has been closed.
I did not have an appt for a visit and stopped in. I walked right in, the receptionist asked me to wait, and then left for 10 minutes as I just stood there having complete access to the classrooms if needed. First sign that made me nervous. The noise level was insane, between crying and screaming, and the classrooms were a disaster. I was completely was caught off guard by the toddler teacher telling me that the kids spent most of the time at the table strapped to there seats because they were easier to "control" that way.
I left there in tears that day. I came home and found that this daycare was also the one on the news for stealing money from neighboring delis.

Yes it is. I know Connetquot SD was using them last year as Pre-K but not positive on this year.

Same owner all 23 years her scams and lies just finally caught up to her, the teachers all still had their stuff in the classrooms and the parents still had their infant stuff there, she lost then UPK there this year after she put her hands on a child in may.

I would love to go back to work full time and it would def help our financial situation....but its sick fuks like this who make me scared to death to trust any caregiver...daycare or nanny to watch dd. I feel sorry for the children who went here and had to be subjected to any of that torture .

That's horrible. She put her hands on a child? I'm shocked that she wasn't shut down sooner.
Do you have her full name? Spokeo her, or look up her info online, and take her to small claims court.
