Keeping it Going...Throwback QOTD 11/11/11
Another Throwback QOTD from 2009:
Have you and DH always been on the same page as far as when you wanted to start TTC?

DH actually was the one to pressure me to start last year. I was still in the "selfish" mindset and when he brought it up, I actually felt scared to think I was actually growing up.
I think for me this all changed after my niece was born in 2010. I now cannot wait for my own child because of her, and how DH is with her My selfish days are over

hi there, we have a 3 & 1/2 yr old DS and when go PG we were not trying and it was a complete SHOCK! we had just gotten married & within 6mths bought a house.
this time around we both knew that we were ready to TTC.. and didn't even discuss it...we just were just going with flow and letting nature take it's course!
good luck to you and you DH

i think so... i don't want to say it was never discussed, but always in passing - like, i think for a long time, if we didn't have kids we both would have felt okay with that, and if we did, we did. around summer of 2010, we started to discuss it - something in me had changed - and last october, while we were on a cruise for our 4th wedding anniversary, we decided we were going to start to try. i think the timing was just right and it clicked for us. we've seem to be insync with this for sure.

At first yes, we were both really excited about the opportunity to create a baby and couldn't wait to start a family.
Now almost a year later, and no BFP or baby, he doesn't want to take the next step and go see a RE. He says "if it's meant to be then it will happen", and it just crushes me that he doesn't want to give it a try. We both agreed to revisit the RE idea after our 1 year wedding anniversary, but I don't want to wait

Yes..this was something we talked about and agreed on after we got engaged. We are a bit older so we knew we could not wait years, but we did want to take some time for ourself to enjoy being married. We agreed to wait 6 months after we were married to start trying.

I wanted to start sooner than my DH did... by about a year! Even after all the time we have gone through infertility, and our many pregnancy losses, we both agree that knowing what we know now we are still glad we waited. We had such amazing carefree times that I would never take back just to start a family sooner, even considering everything we've had to endure!
