Karate Classes
My DD is really interested in taking karate. She is 5, so I think it would be a good place to start. Any rec's on places around Bellmore area. We called on, Red Dragon, it is 84 per month for 1x a week, or 96 per month for 2x per week. Anyone know if that is a good price?

Thats not too bad. My brother in law owns Campbells Karate and Kickboxing in Amityville. I THINK he charges 99 a month for 3x a week. But dont quote me on that. The style of karate is Kempo.. which I belive is a wonderful system for children. Of course Im a bi biased as my DH is a 7th degree black belt in kempo :)

My kids take Karate at My Gym in Huntington. The owner Evan teaches it. They love it! the recently changed their billing system to a monthly system, so it's $88 for a month with class once a week (it pretty much breaks down to $22 a class).

We go to karate and it is $150 a month , it is unlimited classes but there is no option for less.

My kids go to Shaolin, which is also kempo. They have many locations. We have been very happy.

My son goes there. Its really good. Very age appropriate and fun!. I shopped around and that is the best price I could find in our area, plus no commitment.

I have 2 going. Mon/Weds/Sat costs 100. a month, so yours is a bit higher.

There's a place on Merrick Road in Seaford. Not sure of the name or pricing, but it couldn't hurt to check it out.

DS, DD and I all go to Tiger Schulmann's. It's on a per-class payment plan, so if you miss an entire month (or a year recovering from surgery....  ), you aren't losing anything, since the classes don't expire.
They have schools all over the place.
