I live upstate and was in a coffee shop over the weekend that was displaying a local photographer's work. They were charging $75-$100 a print and they weren't HALF AS GOOD. Please urge your DH to think about selling some of his work! 
I tell him all the time. Our friends do too. He just says "ok" and then that's it.

I have used both White House Custom Color (WHCC) and Artsy Couture for prints and have been happy with both. I am pretty sure both have metallic prints. WHCC used to make you submit your photos before you are allowed to set up an account, but not sure they still do this. Meg Bitton who is a really great (IMO) portrait photographer recently recommended Artsy Couture, so maybe check them out.
Also, I think (trying to remember past posts) you have a little boy... what if you say "college fund" with the proceeds of his photos to your DH?!?!?
