Just so bummed
This is our 5th month trying. AF is due Sat. Took a FRER test this morning and got a BFN. I knew in my heart it would be - have all the symptoms of AF.
Used Deanna's plan this month. Got two smiley's in a row on the OPK. Prayed all the time. Thought it was our month.
I was lucky enough to get pregnant with DD on my first try. I am so lucky, I know. But I am 36 and I just feel that something is up with my body.
I just don't know what to do next. My OB said to give it six months and then we will go from there.
I am just sad. Blessed with what I have, but fearful that I won't be able to give DD a sibling.
I feel broken.

Re: Just so bummed
I understand your fears completely, I have a DD as well and am going to be 35 in November and this is our 2nd month really trying (Deanna's Plan as well) and AF is due tomorrow. I just keep thinking how easy it was with her. But fearful that we are going to have problems this time around. You aren't alone, this will happen!

Re: Just so bummed
Sorry you are feeling down about this
I can imagine how frusturating it is when the first time around was so easy. I have no DC yet and have been TTC for over a year. We started our testing back in May and if we don't get our BFP this month, next month we start treatment.
I don't want to worry you, but I remember people telling me to go with your gut. If you feel like you are doing everything and timing is perfect, then don't be afraid to start seeking out answers. I know they say it can take up to a year, but after seeing so many ladies on this site come and go after a few short months, I just couldn't sit around waiting any longer. And even though we have yet to get a strong answer as to why we have been unsuccessful thus far, I am glad I started the testing when I did and only wish I had done it sooner.
HTH and best of luck!

Thank you so much. And your right, I need to go with my gut. I just don't know where to start or how to go about it. Do I contact my OBGYN and ask him to do testing or do I go right to a RE? I heard great things about Dr. Braverman, and I have no problem going ahead and contacting.
Good luck to you too! I know it must be hard to see all the BFP and the people posting who already have DC's but I really appreciate your advice and support and will be praying for your miracle!

Thank you.
I would start by going to your OB/Gyn. Ask him/her to give you a prescription for an HSG and CD 3 bloodwork. Also, they can give you a script for a semen analysis for your DH. That is a good start. That's what I did and after getting back good results, my OB/Gyn said to wait another 3 months and if nothing, he would send me for an IUI. I didn't want to wait the 3 months so I called LI IVF and made an appt myself. My insurance allows me to do it without a referal. I would also recommend temping to confirm that you are in fact ovulating.
