Just Great
We are headed on an Eastern Carribean Cruise on Saturday and the weather looks S U C K Y for the whole trip because of Isaac!!

I'm dealing with the same stress right now. we're supposed to leave for Florida on Monday, the same day that Isaac "may" hit the state. I'm debating canceling, but I won't make the final decision until this weekend.

I hear you we are leaving for a Bermuda Cruise Sunday - which spends Wed/Thurs/Frid in Bermuda - and trop d 10 is headed for there.
Not a great week.

We do have trip insurance but I really don't want to cancel unless we really have to. We already rescheduled this trip from June because DH tore his bicep and needed surgery. If we cancel, I don't know when we'll be able to rebook.

Lots of safe travel vibes to all of you.
I remember my September 2004 cruise being screwed up by Ivan.
Nothing terrible - we had to get bused from Orlando Int'l to the port of Miami to catch the ship because something happened to the sandbar in Port Canaveral and the ship couldn't get in. We also missed a port. We didn't care though - we were so happy just to sail because it was a trip with extended family and realigning everyone's schedule's to rebook would have been a nightmare.
The watching and waiting the week before we left was the worst of it.
Ugh - fingers crossed for all of you.

I am getting more nervous bc it looks like TD 10 is supposed to hit Bermuda directly on Tues we dock wed. We lost the 1 st day of our cruise last year to Irene. We can't reschedule so it is this or nothing for a year. We sail Sunday.

This is what I am thinking - but I think we will be rocking and rolling down. Although honestly we left the day after Irene last year (lost the 1st day to Irene) but it was actually really smooth going down despite the fact we were really moving to not lose a day down there. We got to Bermuda on time - so really only missed the 1st day.

 We only do one trip a year to a year and a half. Just happy to have DH for a week. He works until late at night and some on weekends too so it will be nice to have him around for a whole week. The girls are so excited. Now praying that the 60% chance of rain for the 3 days in Bermuda will be wrong! Last year it rained the 1st day and day 2 was overcast in the morning but gorgeous in the afternoon and great for day 3 - but rained again a bit on the sea days.

Get some meclizine, just in case! We've followed a couple of hurricanes, both on small ships (oh yay!), and it can get rocky but if you're prepared, it's doable. Especially if you're on a large ship.
Let's just say the landing for our flight back into Myrtle Beach was must worse than ANYTHING on the ocean!

JetBlue waved their flight change fees so I'm pretty sure we're going to change our flights by a day. Instead of Monday to Mnday we're going to do Tuesday to Tuesday,we're going to make the final decision tomorrow morning.
