well good luck!
that is ours also- we are hoping DH can transfer - and finger crossed he has a major meeting with the owner of a large mortgage company with offices all over the country tomorrow (he called DH- so if they can work something out- our #1 thing is done)

thanks! it's going to be harder for me to find a job also- but once we pick a location- I will be able to look seriously

Just as an FYI...many school districts in NC just don't understand how so many of us are out of work here. They LOVE them some NY teachers!! I spoke with my soon-to-be principal over the phone...she asked me a few questions related to our move in person, they she had me sign on the dotted line! And that's for one of the better schools outside of Charlotte!!
You won't have a problem, trust me!!!  I even got to choose my grade because she was so impressed with my qualifications!

you'll have no problem finding a teaching job if you are NYS certified. when FH and I looked to move, he was getting job offers via EMAIL. but he took one look at the payscale and went  it was way to much of a paycut for him!

can I ask what the weather was like this time of year? I have noticed that the carolinas seem to always be hotter than FL and NY in the summer - plus the humidity. Is that truly the case?

It's about 96 right now and humid!!!! (I work in Raleigh).
It's supposed to cool off tomorrow and be mid-80's.
