Just Got Back From My Ultra Screen
What a great appointment! The baby was moving today. He/She had the hiccups..awww.
After a difficult time getting the baby to cooperate they got the neck measurement and it was 1.8. They said that was great, is it ladies? The said we will wait til the blood test comes back but based on the level they are sure its all good.
We got to hear the heartbeat with a doppler to for the first time loud and clear. The heartrate is 157. I am so in love with our baby already.
Because I do still have some spotting I am going in again in 4 weeks at 16 weeks for another sono. They said no intercourse in the meantime. They see on the sono a bit of blood and said not to worry, something about the placenta and it needs to move or something. Anyway, we are just thrilled that our baby looks like a baby now.

thats great to see the baby move.
They never told me the exact measurements of the neck but I am sure if they said its great, then its great!

I never got the exact measurement either. But I am sure if they say all is well, it is. Congrats on seeing !

techno imaging dork here.
I knew they wouldn't tell me the measurements or whether they were good or not... and I also knew I would explode if I didn't get any info for over a week, so I looked up the info on acceptable nuchal measurements prior to the test.
the acceptable measurement depends on what week you are..... I had it done at 11 weeks. At 11 weeks, the acceptable range is about 1.1-2.1mm.... The #'s I saw flash on the screen were all 1.2
If you are 12 weeks, the #'s increase... I think it was something like 1.6-2.6 roughly. lower #'s are likely fine, and higher #'s (3mm and more) could possibly be a sign for concern if the blood work also indicates an elevated risk.
at any rate, 1.8 is within a normal range even if you are 11 weeks.....
