Just got a BFP!
Hi Fellow soon to be mommies! I am still in shock. Just got my BFP! This will be and my DHs first!
Im such a planner when it comes to all things but pregnancy, I know absolutely nothing about...
if any of you have really good reference posts saved, or great websites it would be a huge help! im not seeing my dr till march 6 which is actually 8 weeks exactly (going by my last period)...so until then i need a little help.
can someone also tell me when the dreaded vomitting starts, does it really happy to everyone? what, if anything do people do to help it

i look forward to getting to know all of you the next 9 months.

CONGRATULATIONS!! The What to Expect Books or Your Pregnancy Week by Week books (and websites) are great to reference.
As for the "vomiting" - it's not a guarantee... I never threw up with DS1, but only puked once with this pregnancy (and I'm 22wks)... There are a variety of side effects of pregnancy - none are guarantees, just possibilities.
Just sit back and enjoy the "quiet" time until your symptoms start to kick in... and if they don't YOU'RE LUCKY!!! 
Try not to over evaluate every twinge, you'll go batty until you see your bean...
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!! And a Happy and Healthy 9 months to you!!

Congratulations! I def recommend the What to Expect when Your Expecting books...
You want to be careful about what foods your eating, certain creams and lotions you may be using on your face, breathing in certain fumes... The books will help with all of this...
MOST IMPORTANT: You may want to talk to your Dr over the phone if your on ANY medication... Also you cant take anything but Tylenol, no more Advil or Alieve... I believe Sudafed, Claritan, Robitussin are ok... But a lot of over the counter stuff you can no longer take... Rx stuff MUST be approved by your Dr =)
Vomiting not guaranteed, I never vomited just nausea coming and going all day and all night... Some women only experience it certain times of days. Some women dont experience anything... Sickness may not start until about 7-8 weeks, maybe later... Mine slowly started to go away, by 14 weeks I would say it was completely gone BUT Im going into my 19th week and there are still certain foods and smells that can turn my stomach... BUT its not like how it was during the 1st trimester...
Like the previous poster stated dont over evaluate every twinge or pain, but definately come to these boards and were all happy to help! =)
Make sure you are comfortable with your Dr and want them to be the one to deliver your little one =)

I never vomited. But nausea/dry heaving and other symptoms started at 6wks.
Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy. It truly flies!

Every pregnancy I've had all been different, so the vomiting part I wouldn't worry about. It happens or it may not happen plus it's not like when u have stomach virus. Def recommend book what to expect when expecting.

congratulations, and welcome!!!
I had slight nausea around 7 weeks but didn't actually throw up until 8 and it lasted until a bit over 14 weeks.
However, my friend is pregnant and only threw up once and never really had MS so you might be lucky

Ms started for me at 6w on the dot with DS. This pregnancy it started at 5.5w.

My best advice is to try not to prepare yourself for every symptom. I never got nauseous or dealt with MS and I barely felt pregnant until I could actually feel my baby moving. I did feel more tired than normal in my first tri but I didn't allow it to ettect my normal schedule. I'll be 28 weeks on Monday and I'm still working 50 hours a week and going to school. I just never push myself. So far everything looks great and my weight has stayed low because I was able to remain active. Best of luck with everything. The ladies on this board are always helpful so it's a great place to get great answers and opinions. Good luck!
