Just found out my RE left the practice
I know it shouldn't bother me that much since I only had my initial meeting with him but I am sad that San Roman left RSofNY. My OB/GYN referred me to him and him only. I didn't realize that you see whatever dr or nurse is on call. Am I overreacting? I feel like patients should have been notified. Does anyone know why he left? I just had my IUI with Halfern two weeks ago(find out results tomorrow). Not a huge fan of his. Was hoping to have San Roman for it. Anyone else feel this way? Do I switch to LIJ or stay?

Just found out my RE left the practice
At my initial meeting at rsofny they did notify us we may not always see our dr. I have actually seen many of the different drs and they are great. Before switching practices, maybe have a consult with one of the other drs in the practice and see if there is a better fit for you there. GL

When did he leave? I just spoke the nurse on Wednesday and she didn't mention anything to me about it, she actually said he recently reviewed my file.I was under the impression I was meeting with him when I go in on Monday. Wow, this is a bummer. I'm not a fan of Dr. Halfen either

Mid December. DH and I were at an appt on a Sat and I noticed him wheeling what looked like files out in everyday plain clothes. Didn't think anything of it though. Bummed

Dr. Halfen can be tough to handle sometimes. He's a bit abrupt sometimes, but he really knows his stuff.
I like Dr. Stelling. He's my favorite there. I met with San Roman 1x and he seemed pretty nice as well.
Honestly, they all work together on each patient. I see Halfen & Stelling most and they are on the same page with what we are doing each cycle.
I wouldn't run right away. Give them a chance

I thought it was his facility. I am confused. I wondered why after my horrible cycle a few months ago there was no appts for months with him. I never saw him again. I was disappointed that I never saw him after the failed cycle, as I loved him. Where is he going?

Just found out my RE left the practice
I just wanted to crash and say that I was going to North Shore Center for Human Reproduction and I think I saw almost every doctor there. My main doctor was not there when I had my m/c and she also was not the one to perform my IUI. Since the IF process is so unpredictable in a way you just have to see whoever is available at the time.

Oh wow, I'm surprised he left! Dr. Halfen is actually my favorite! He's very sweet and knows his stuff! I have a 3 week old LO thanks to him!

Dr. San Roman left? Wow. I loved him when I was a patient there. I did actually really like Dr. Halfen though too, very sweet. I actually don't care for Dr. Stelling......I always found his demeanor strange and he was always a disaster when doing my IUIs.
You do have to get use to seeing any of the doctors there though as its rare to see the same one consistently. I always shuffled around between doctors when I was a patient.

I am very shocked to learn this news!!! H\I loved Dr. San Roman! I just saw him in the beginning of December he did my 2 IUI's back to back. I am currently pregnant 6 weeks! I was lucky to be able to see him and have him do mu Iui"s before he left. DH and I already want to follow him to LIJ.
Thanks for sharing this info. Is anyone following him over there?

I don't know that I will since it isn't as convenient as staying at rsny. I just got my BFP today so I am going to wait and see if it sticks. Halfen did my IUI so if it sticks I would feel weird leaving him.
