Just found out!
So we just found out we were pregnant yesterday after 7 months of trying!!! Now my question is how long do you wait to tell family members. I know I've heard some people say to wait until the second trimester..others say that's only true if you've miscarried before. We are really excited and want to share the news..but is it better to wait? Also, any exciting ways about how you broke the news?? Thanks!!

i told our immediate families right away...
but we wont tell extended family until after our sono on 3/25...
we'll wait till after the first tri to tell everyone else

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
We waited to tell our family until after the first sono confirmed the pregnancy..we then told close friends a couple of weeks later, and waited to tell others until 14 weeks

Congrats!!!! We told our immediate families the day following our bfp. We waited til 11 weeks to tell our extended families. I figured this baby is here right now and should be celebrated. I didn't want the first time I told my parents I was pregnant to be if I God forbid miscarried. Do what's right for you guys!

Congrats!!!!
We told immediate family and grandparents right away (4-5 weeks). Earlier than I would have wanted to but we had an opportunity to see them all in person so we told them then. Otherwise would have waited to see a heartbeat.
We told friends and extended family at 13.5 weeks.
My mom thinks we were crazy for not telling everyone right away but I was worried about miscarriage and didn't want the whole world knowing until I was further along

We told immediate family & friends at about 5-6 weeks. We plan on telling everyone else around 10-12 weeks

We told our immediate families when I was 6w. We told other close friends and family before we "came out" on fb when I was 10w.

Congratulations!!! We told immediate family at 5 weeks, close friends shortly after. Now at 9 1/2 weeks, I'm telling more friends, and we will tell extended family shortly.

congrats!!! we told my family and a few very close friends right away. people are starting to notice though -apparently i "look" pregnant or something. our next appt is 3/24 (10w2d) and will tell dh's family then, and will probably tell work (even though my boss knows already, still have to tell the other partners i work for).

I told everyone right away. Immediate family, friends etc. Everyone thought we were nuts but we were excited and I don't regret the decision at all.
I am waiting until 12 weeks to tell work (this week is my 12 week appointment so I will tell them after that.)

We told our BIL/SIL at about 6 1/2 - 7 weeks.
We told our parents at 8 weeks.
Everyone else (including our 4 year old daughter) at 12 weeks.

We told our immediate family right away. All others found out when i was 13 weeks. I was very weary about telling people... i guess just I just feared what if and didn't want to risk it.

I told my sister a few days after the BFP, but she knew that I'd gone in for an IUI and knew I was due to test. So I couldn't do, "uh... I don't know yet" for much longer!
We told our parents after we saw the heart beat at 8 weeks. Told friends and colleagues at 12 weeks.
Congratulations to you! Spread out the "telling" if you can... it's so much fun each time!

When we got pregnant with DS we waited until after our first doctor appointment. So I think I was 6 weeks. And we had our Pomeranian wear a shirt that said "Big sister".
This time we told around 6 weeks and DS wore a shirt also. The front said "I have a secret" the back said "I'm going to be a big brother".

As far as telling, my mom knew at 6 weeks cause I needed her to take me to the hospital for bad m/s, mil and my sisters found out at 10w, fil and rest of family and friends found out at 15w (we wanted to tell FIL in person so we had to wait that long)

i waited ten weeks to tell my family, and I did it with sono pics in a frame as christmas gifts, on Christmas Eve.
