oh boy - this was so hard for me with char!! i definitely know how you feel/felt!!! i went through the same thing - worrying and such. i cried taking her there, dropping her off, etc. i was so sad without her for the night knowing that she was not only recovering from the surgery - but all alone and without me scared and worried  i was so happy to pick her up and she cried so much when i got there. i must have called and checked on her like four times - they were so nice and understanding. they said she was in the recovery suite and doing really well - laying on her blankies and bed with her woobie i gave them for her to make her feel more comfortable. i was sad that she would never be able to have puppies and felt bad taking that from her but we can't have multiple dogs and it was better for her this way.
i'm so glad to hear everything went well and that bella is recovering very well - sounds like she handled everything wonderfully - char didn't need a cone either - she, like bella, didn't even lick her wound or bite at it! the vet said that was rare.
i bet you are so happy to have her home and have that whole process behind you!!!
