We got Cooper at Shake-A-Paw... biggest mistake and best decision we ever made.
We had no clue how horrible pet store were nor did we know anything about puppy mills. We were educated real fast after all of Cooper's health problems started to show themselves. I know a lot of people on here won't agree with me when I say we truly feel like we rescued him from that pet store, and have given him a happy and healthy life.
**We will never buy from a pet store again... lesson learned.**

We got Chico at Shake a Paw and I know, I would NEVER do that again, we were very lucky bc he had a little kennel cough and that was it..
Mimi we got from a friend of a friend..

We bought all 3 of our dogs from breeders. Next one and future ones will be from a shelter.

none of the above.
I found my Henry on Henry St in Brooklyn in front of a brownstone!! A nasty witch came out of the brownstone dragging 2 children. When I asked if that was her bunny, she barked "NO its not my bunny and you can HAVE IT!". The kids didnt even give that bun a first look they were terrified!!!
Took him home, cute and tame as anything. Vet said he was spayed so he was someone's pet...now he's ours and we just couldn't love him more

my Remy was my husbands...he got her from a breeder 11 years ago when she was a pup...
my Cassie we adopted last september from shih-tzu and furbaby rescue, its a really great organization..
she is 12 years old and the fiancee of her former owner had brought her to the vet to get euthanized because of her very easily managed skin allergy. The vet he took her to would not do it and contacted the rescue and thats how we found her...she is really a joy to us and we are thankful that vet saved her...

We got Barkley from Sportsmans Kennel out East. So clean , So nice!
My mother and friends have gotten there dogs from there as well and all our dogs are healthy, great temperaments and just all around wonderful dogs!!

He was the best dog ever!!!

Brutus was also from Shake a Paw. We got him way too young.
Unfortunately, DH will never let a shelter dog into his home, so our next Boston will be from a breeder.

why is that?
He had three shelter dogs growing up and all three gave them problems and ended up being violent and had to be given away.
And his family is actually really good with training dogs - and never had a problem with any other type of dog.

LOL! seriously, he is the only BT that I have ever seen that looks anything like Brutus! They both have those long limbs and are skinny little things - not to mention all the health problems!

I still would love to get them together- but I think Maggie would be scared

Reese and Ramsey are from a LIF poster who rescued a pregnant feral cat.
Phoebe is from the vet's office. Someone one left her on the doorstep with her kittens.

I have 2 cats. One is from little Shelter, and an amazing animal, the other one is from someone I used to be friends with who is heartless.Needless to say I am not friends with her anymore...., the friendship did not last long b/c of the way she acted, but she gave me an amazing kitty- she loves to be loved.

My dad's two dogs hooked up ( ) and had 7 puppies.
5 girls, 2 boys.
I took a girl and so did my brother. My dad kept one of the boys and all the others were adopted.
I adore my doggie. She's the best.
