Just a few PP tips
From my snl, fill a bottle with a sports cap with bath water. When you give baby a bath, sometimes they pee, or worse. You will always have clean water to rinse them.
Get dressed. Every day, get dressed. If it means waking up before DH while baby is sleeping to take a shower, do it!!! You will feel so much better
Before the baby is born, take out some money from the atm. Get menus for take out. This way, you will have cash on hand for the nights neither of you want to cook.
Many say sleep while the baby is sleeping. For me, I took a nap when DH was home and got stuff done while baby was sleeping.
I actually wish I didn't get a diaper bag. I got a skiphop diaper pad/wipes/diaper holder and often, I just toss that in a tote.
If you plan on bf'ing and pumping, start pumping early. If you can, pump one breast while baby is nursing. It isn't easy, but get that supply going and freeze your milk. I also find that if I wake up and pump before DS wakes up to nurse at night, I can get a lot of milk and still have food for him.
Also, if you plan to bf, YES, it is normal to have the baby at your boob for what feels like the entire day for the first few weeks. You will feel like all you are doing is nursing. All you ARE doing is nursing. It does get better.
Go out for walks. You will feel productive if that is the only thing you do all day.
If anyone asks if you need anything, tell them diapers! Seriously, you will get lots of toys and clothes. It's the diaper you REALLY need!
Good luck ladies-here's to quick and easy births!
