July 4th Weight Loss Challenge

The Goal? Lose lbsssss by July 4th. That gives us five weeks starting tomorrow friday.

I need to lose 10 lbs but would be happy with 8.

I need motivation.

I need to stay out of the fridge during the day - I work from home so its torture.

I need to be held accountable.

Anyone in?

Okay so here are the names so far and I am going to weigh in each friday starting tomorrow Friday June 6th. ( not expecting much as I have been overindulging in Ice cream this week)

Me too! I need to stop stress eating and mindless snacking before/while making dinner & to make more time to exercise regularly.

Im in!! I need to lose 10lbs as well. I need to stop being a glutton, I have a tendency to finish whats on my plate even though im super duper full. I kick started by doing the cleanse and losing 11 lbs but now these last 10/15 lbs are a killer.

I plan on getting rid of carbs or drastically reducing carbs and sugar. Stop eating after 7, reduce caffeine and drinking (no beer). Exercise alot, minimum 5 days a week.

Maybe do a 10week kickboxing program to add to my exercise routine.

Great!! So I forgot to weigh myself this morning.will weigh myself tomorrow morning and then next friday post my results and TRY to work out at least 5 out of 7 days.

I weigh myself everyday which has to stop but that's a whole other topic. Didn't lose not 1lb this week and I worked out 5 days. I'm trying not get discouraged.

This week I plan on working out 5 days. Eating proteins shakes for breakfast and dinner and salad for lunch.

Don't get discouraged! It s*cks but some weeks are better than others. I know it's tough to work so hard and not see immediate results, but keep up the good work and it will pay off in the end! Chat Icon

I'm IN!!!! I need to lose 10 pounds. But right now I'd be happy with like 4. I need to stay under a certain amount and start maintaining that before it'll be possible to lose.

I cheated with a drunken binge on pizza after the copa Saturday night. Alcohol, No Bueno!

I did work out though on Sunday, hung over and all. And today I forced myself to go to the gym. I also started the 30 day Ab challenge. This is it for anyone else who wants to join in!!

I wasn't working out but did try to watch what I was eating so I guess that contributed to my weight loss. I do know that when I work out - I am talking 5 days a week that it does speed up my weight loss and thats for a couple of reasons other than the fact that I am working out - its because I drink more water - I drink water whilst working out and afterwards and I am way more mindful of what I eat when working out.

What day are you on? I'm on Day 10 and the sit-ups are a killer. I wonder if I will be able to do the 125 by day 30Chat Icon

Ok so I'm down 1.5. I've been working everyday, doing the ab challenge. As far as diet:

1. Try to stay away from carbs and limit sugar
2. Replace breakfast and dinner with protein shakes and bars
3. Count calories and limit to 1200 (using myFitnessPal)
5. Drink atleast 64 oz of water, which is helping me with the fast.
4. Intermittent fasting: my DH started doing this and it's where you eat during an 8 hr period and fast the rest. So my hours have been from 10-6. It can be any 8 hour period you choose. It really working for him. So I started it and idk if it's coincidence that I finally dropped a lb. we will see

I also might so my 10 day lemonade cleanse starting this Sunday. It worked the first time and I maintained my weight.

Good luck chicas, and keep it up! Don't give up! I know I always want too and eat naughty sh!t lol!

I get everything at Trader Joes. When I need to get more Lemons, I will get regular ones. The laxative I buy at CVS and use purified bottled water for my drinks.

The first few days are hard, but once you get passed that you realize that its more cravinsg and not about being hungry. Its not easy, Im on Day 1 and trying to figure out how I did this last time. LOL

July 4th Weight Loss Challenge

So this weekend was my DS's graduation and I gained my 1.5lb back. I don't understand how people can have a cheat day and nothing happens. Lol I have a cheat day and reverses all my hard work.
My body sucks...

Anyway, on more good news: I started the cleanse on Monday, now I'm on day 4 and lost 4lbs. I think some of it was bloat from Aunt Flo. Bad news is I'm bitchy and craving everything..lol!

As far as exercise, I've been sticking with the AB and Push up challenge and started the Squat challenge on Monday. I have my DS with me all week and work at nights so I was only able to get to the gym Monday and Wednesday. I also walked about 1.5 miles with my DS on Tuesday.

July 4th Weight Loss Challenge

I'm down seven pounds altogether. I lost 1 lb. this week as of this morning's weigh in, but I went out to a bar after work and ate French fries so I'm sure that one pound is right back on! Chat Icon

I plan on going for a LONG bike ride tomorrow morning if it's nice out to make myself feel less guilty.

July 4th Weight Loss Challenge

Keeping up with my challenges: ab, squat and push up. I'm about 5.5 lbs down. These last 5 or 10lbs are a b!tch. I only lasted to day 7 on the cleanse.

Started working out again since DS is in basketball camp. Hoping to drop a pound or 2 this week with limited to no carbs / sugar and exercise.
