hey everyone I got even better news!! Joey is now in his own room no more NICU.. He is in what they call progressive care.
I met with most of the team of doctors today and the news is he will be here for at least a month more. But that's not all since they changed the O2 to 2 litters when eating. He finishes most of his bottles, but has his days and nights mixed up!! I have kinda a web TV thing here so I can at least keep up.
I come here to the ronald mcdonald house to eat and for showers and to upload pics. There are a few new ones in his pics. Thanks Janet for updating them. I will sure update more as soon as I can ty all.

I am so sorry I haven't updated you guys in awhile. Joey is doing great! He still has minor ups and downs. He is only on 0.06ml of O2 now and is being weaned off of his lasiks and the doctors say he is great condition as compared to a week ago. He is so alert now and is babbling too. I am getting a dig cam from my mom with video clip maker so I can make a few video clips of him and show you all. He is having PT, OT and Speech each day and is working hard. He still needs the respiratory and hear monitors to balance his breathing. His respiratory rate is still high and they want to stabilize it before he comes home. He sleeps all day and is up all night. He was up to 75 ml of formula and now is back to 60, but with added calories. They cant give him any more than that b/c of the fluid on his lungs. He might have to be put back on steroids and we are hopping with in the next two weeks of taking him home. He is going to need a cardiac specialist, neonatal doc, pediatric doc, OT and PT specialist, plus pulmonary. It is going to be a lot of work when he comes home and a lot of strain but we will pull threw. He has his own room now so I have been sleeping up there with him and staying most of the day. OK here is another big update. This week hasn't been so good for us. I fell on Saturday night and got pretty badly banged up. I went and got xrays but I just got badly bruised. I have been in pain so I haven't been up with Joey too much. Today Jay went up to see him for a while and now we come to find his potassium is really high. The doctors are concerned about this and they said it could be two things, one is his kidneys aren't working correctly and the other is his pituitary gland. They are having a nephrologist come in tomorrow to look at him and they are taking blood work every 6 hours to see how he is doing. There is so much going on I am getting tired and so worried.

OK here is the really good news Joey's Kidneys are fine. We also got the ok to feed him whenever he wants to eat. His breathing is still very Labored so we are working on it so he can come home. My mother and father finally got to see him. My dad has a bad form of dementia so they haven't been able to get here. Here is a few more videos, tell me what you think!
