Job decision help
Yep B That's why I moved. I could have taken a less secure job in another state but I wanted the corporate backing. Now that we are settled I was ok with moving to a higher paying smaller company.
Good Luck on your move to where ever!

I don't ever want to work for a family owned firm again. Ever. It's hard to be supportive of small businesses when we've each had such bad experiences working for them.
Just curious, what negative experiences did you or DH have while working for a smaller business?
I still think Option B is the best, don't get me wrong.

Re: Job decision help
Posted by bella321 Just curious, what negative experiences did you or DH have while working for a smaller business?
It has mostly been financial mismanagement stuff like paychecks bouncing, not paying hours properly, denial of vacation/sick time, forced overtime without pay, hours/pay cut shortly after hiring, inability to do job because vendor accounts have been shut off for non payment, owner's inability to follow basic employment law in regards to pay/hours/overtime etc, abuse by owner etc.
It's not "a" single incident, it's MULTIPLE for both of us.
Mostly it's stuff neither of us ever experienced working in corporate owned entities.
To say that our experiences working for a couple of family based business employers has really ruined it would be an accurate statement.
