JJ Cole Bundle Me
I saw a thread on here that says the bundle me isn't safe for the car seat! Is this really true? I have the bundle me lite and the one for the winter and I planned on using both. Is anyone else using it?

They say it can affect the safety of the harnesses bc the fit isn't right anymore.
I looked into, and read that my car seat (chicco key fit) warranty is voided if you put something that doesn't come with the car seat into it. Not 100% sure if it's valid or not.
To avoid all that, I registered for the JJ Cole Car seat cover which goes over the car seat instead of inside. Still nice and warm too

I had read the same and still bought the bundle me. However when I went to install it on my car seat (Chicco Keyfit 30), it didn't fit right at all especially with the newborn inserts. I ended up returning it and got the car seat cover instead. The cover worked out great!

Yes the original one is not safe- car seats are not tested with any add ons.
However, for a couple of years, they have made a version that is like a shower cap and it goes over the car seat and not through the straps. We used this with my ds and it worked very well!

I really like the Bundle Me for on my strollers for winter walks...I have the infant and the toddler sized ones and use them on my jogger...I also have another one that is similar (like a wrap almost) that I use on my umbrella stroller in the winter.

JJ Cole Bundle Me
i had the JJ Cole Car Seat Cover that has an elasticized outer band and fits over infant carriers (like a pp said, like a shower cap) DS1 was born in November and we used it all winter and it was awesome! Doing it again with DS2

I think the ones that you posted are the original- if it says anything about threading the straps through it- its the def the original
the shower cap style one that I have is this one JJ Cole Car Seat Cover

We used the one as well. It just goes over the carseat but nothing interferes with the inside of the seat.

I used one for almost 4 months with my DS. He was in his seat nice and snug. I think he would have had more of an issue if he had on more clothes.

It's already installed in the car seat, I'm just waiting for LO to arrive. I feel like if I keep it I'm a horrible mom for taking a chance....

Did you try putting the bundle me on the car seat? Does it fit nicely? Do the openings line up with the seatbelt?
With the Chicco the bundle me was clearly too tight and nothing lined up.
Also does your car seat come with infant inserts?
The pp was correct on buy buy baby returns. They take anything back.

I had tried this one withe my DDs carseats, but the arm would not move with it on. I ended up using the original Bundle Me. Yes, it said it was not recommended, because the fabric can compress in the event of a crash, and then make the straps looser. I tested it out, and didn't think it really made that much of a difference. I had the Graco infant seat, and the openings lined up perfectly with the seat, so I didn't think it was an issue. It is sort of along the same lines of not recommending that a winter coat be worn in a carseat either, for the same reason.

We used the Bundle Me and it was not an issue. I just made sure the straps were adjusted properly and never looked back. I didn't want to worry about putting the baby in more clothes so it was much easier to just have him in the Bundle Me which kept him nice and comfy.

that one is like the original...see how the piece goes into the seat with holes for the straps rather then just on the outside like a shower cap

This has been my favorite topic of conversation for years now. You should not place anything between your child and the seat that did not come with the seat. With the exception of the Bundle-me or other products that go on top of the seat like a shower cap they are not safe. Period. There is no need to purchase or use this product. All that is needed for a child in a seat is a blanket.
The question I must ask is why insist on using and promoting a product that all car seat experts agree is not safe?
