OMG YES I believe in it!!
I ALWAYS jinx myself.. like I will say to DH " Wow I can't believe there is no traffic" and not even a min. later we are in bumper to bumper traffic 
lol I know there are bigger cases of "jinxing" but thats the one that happens to me most often! lol

Well.......I used to be like this.. I would never speak about my potential "good news" because I was afraid that the minute I did, the good news would turn bad on me.. and to a small degree, I do still keep things to myself until I know 99.9% sure of it
BUT I have come to believe that whatever is goign to happen, is going to happen .. no matter if you talk about it or not... so now, I do tend to share some good things with those closest to me, knowing that even if the good news doesn't pan out, they will be there to support me as well
(did that make any sense?)

I sent an email to my boss about a contingency plan in the event of a hurricane and I wrote "no hurricanes actually have effected us (knock on wood)..."
I literally had to write knock on wood in the email otherwise I felt like I was jinxing the company.
