Hey Ive been pregnant and just find it odd. I personally didn't have that "instinct". I just get the feeling she does it to remind the public she is pg so they won't call her fat. She is the main celeb I see doing it.

I do it all the time (hold my belly) its a place to rest my hand and like OP said its sooo instinct .. sometimes my hand is at the bottom to relieve some pressure..LOL. Jess looks great.

When i was preggo with my DD the last thing i wanted to do was hold my belly WHILE holding my son (they are 15 months apart).
It just wasn't a natural thing to do.
Walking by myself and hold my belly sometimes is natural. IMO

Just wanted to say I'm glad to hear I'm not the only mother who never had the 'bump holding' instinct. The only time I really rubbed/held my belly in public was when I was having pains or BH, but I was also grimacing at the same time and people tended to get scarred.
