Re: Jersey shore + 20 mo old?
My mom and her brother have a summer home in Cape May Courthouse. We love it because it's right in the middle of Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon, and Wildwood. The Cape May County Zoo is huge and awesome and best of all FREE. We did a lot of walking in Cape May to look at all the Victorians, we did a pirates lunch with DS, went to the beach, went to the aquarium in Stone Harbor, etc, etc. They have music and fireworks in some of the towns on summer nights too. Wildwood and Cape May do whale and dolphin watching boat tours.

Re: Jersey shore + 20 mo old?
We stayed in Wildwood and had an amazing time. Morey's Piers are so clean, rides are great even for little ones, waterparks are a blast, and the beaches were great. So family friendly despite what people say. We stayed at the Star Lux, which is a cute doo-wop themed hotel. Renovated and nice. We drove to the Cape May Zoo (boring IMO), did mini golf, rode all the rides on the piers, went to the beach, waterparks, etc. It was a blast, and can't wait to go back! A lot of the hotels at the jersey shore seem to have their original furnishings from 50 years ago though, so I would look on Trip Advisor for reviews.

Re: Jersey shore + 20 mo old?
LOL, when I read the title for some reason I thought the post would read " Do you let your 20 mo old watch the Jersey Shore?" Wow, I need to get out more!
Anyway, I don't know much about the Jersey Shore accept my friend lives there and says the beaches are very family friendly. Have fun!

We go to Ocean City, NJ...have been going there since I was 5 years old and now my parents have a condo there. best boardwalk on the shore IMO. very very family friendly...its a dry town so the emphasis is on kids...tons of playgrounds, amusements on the boardwalk...lots of fun events. beach is super clean and huge. there are alot of motels but we always rented houses so I cant comment too much on the motels...I can give more info on locations of rental houses and recs for realtors adn stuff like that. FM me for more info...I could talk OC all day!

My family has a house in Seaside Heights. I would not recommend that
I know Wildwood is very family friendly. There is also Point Pleasant if you don't want to drive as far south

I second Ocean City. Completely family friendly. Great boardwalk and they have family day in town certain days of the week. We've been going for a couple of years now - specifically for the kids.
