I have a 2014 compass and I really like it. Only problem that I came across was car seats. The space between the front and back is smaller than I thought, and when DD was rear facing it rubbed against the back of the passenger seat, and i had to move the passenger seat pretty far up to avoid that

We have 2016 and love it.
Currently we have a baseball bag, a catchers bag, a bin of baseballs and 7 bowling balls in the truck hahahahahahah

Dh has a patriot which I think is nearly the same. It's a 2011 which we bought new and we've had no issues with it in all those years. Dh did tons of research on cost of ownership, resale value, etc and he's been very happy with it. This is by far the longest I've known him to keep a car.

I had a Patriot a few years ago and I LOVED it. I went to lease a second in a row but they were running a better special on a Compass which had a few upgrades (sunroof, leather) so I got that one. They said it's the same car, same base just a different style "shell", it's rounder and less boxy. Well, but making it rounder it eliminated a little leg room here and there which I miss. I LOVED my Patriot and it's boxy space (room trunk room, more leg room) but I really like my Compass. Mine is not the newest model and has strangle placed rear door handles. I thought I'd get used to it but it's nearly 2 years later and I still have trouble with them. But if that's my only complaint...

I have one before my Cherokee. I wanted more room but I never had any issues with it and if I were staying with a small SUV I would get another
