JCrew is ticking me off!
I love their clothes, but they simply do not accomodate a more well endowed woman. And I'm not talking double D's here! I'm a 34D and most of their shirts and dresses only cover a quarter of my boob
I fell in love with this dress yesterday, tried it on, and it looked like I was wearing a triangle bikini Image Attachment(s):

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
I have the same problem (and am the same size) at a lot of stores. I am pretty small on top otherwise, so it's very hard to get a top that fits right.
I remember a few years ago I was in Club Monaco and I asked them about it-- and the sales girl told me that the shirts are made to fit a 34B because that is the average size. P!ssed me off.

Hmph
I really liked the dress, but I"ll be damned if I'm going to buy it two sizes too big and then spend another $50 to have it altered.
Jcrew is slowly falling in the totem poll of stores I frequent

I'm trying to lose weight and tone up for the summer, and I REALLY hope that their D cup bikini tops are really and truly D cup. If they aren't, then I'm going to be mad

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
I think bathing suits are a different story, since they sell them by the cup size.
I had a similar experience at JCREW with a sweater dress-- so cute, but it would have been OBSCENE if I actually wore it out anywhere.
The thing that really annoys me, is that the catalog/internet pics are misleading, because the items do not fit as pictured.

I TOTALLY agree. Unless they are using models who truly do not have boobs. I mean less than an A cup.

Try Victoria's Secret - I bought a bunch of bathing suits from them and they fit perfectly. Love them.

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
that model looks like she has boobs though. I think they probably pinned the dress, or whatever... like they do on mannequins.
Whatever, I love JCREW, but their clothes were never the best fit for me. I usually only end up getting sweaters, to cover my apparently gargantuan boobs.

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
I love that dress! My problem with JCrew lately is the pricing...
It seems like out of nowhere that they think they are extremely high end or something... Every time I walk out of there I am like.. how did I afford this stuff in high school and college on baby-sitting and money from an afterschool job?

I, to, do not have large boobs (a c!) and have trouble, there, too..my friend once said she heard that jcrew is more toward the petite side...

Grrrrr
I've been saying this for years! I never buy dresses there
I was thinking of trying that dress on, too.
Ann Taylor Loft has some cute wrap dresses that are doable!

Yeah, well, unless your bra size is a 32a, don't even think about trying it on!

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
I bought a few items from them the other day and because I was in Italy a couple of days prior, my credit card refused the charge. J.Crew sent me an e-mail to correct the problem and I was like "um, nah...I don't think I even want the stuff after the flip-flop debacle..." I also completely agree with their pricing...INSANE!

Maybe this is why I like jcrew so much - they accomodate my small (and ever shrinking) boobies

Good to know! I was going to order this dress, but I'm like a DD, so it would never fit me on top!

Re: JCrew is ticking me off!
I have been noticing this about a lot of their tops lately. I already knew their bottoms were always narrow but their tops used to be nice. Now everything is so body conscious.
I agree that I refuse to size up just to get something to fit and then have it altered.
I love a lot of their sweaters but the other stuff is just took hard to fit into these days..
