JC Penney Photo Groupon?

Has anyone ever purchased one? Have you had any trouble redeeming it? Looking to use it for DD's 1st birthday pictures. I'm looking at the one that includes "One professional photography shoot with one 3-image digital album and one traditional print" for $29.99.

Thinking of using the Sunrise Mall location in Massapequa. Any experience there? Names of photographers you've used and liked? Thanks!

I've used several Groupons for JCP pictures and I've never had an issue. I go to the one in Bay Shore, so I can't give you any advice on the location in Massapequa. But that sounds like a good deal to me. I've used them for all of DS's birthday and holiday pictures and I've always been happy with the results. Good luck!

They have some little props. I think they have the letters to spell out the word "ONE". We never get to use much because my DS would always run away after a few pics lol. The only thing I brought with me was a stuffed animal, which I had used in all of his month-by-month photos so I thought it would be fun to put it in his 1 year photos too. But that was it. If you have something special, then I'd bring it. But otherwise, I don't think it's necessary.

I use them for Christmas. They had very little props but the deal is worth it. You can call them to see exactly what they have. I'm in Staten Island so I don't have comments on that location.

I buy the groupon all the time. No issues. We always use Selena in Bay shore. Very little in terms of props but we always get the numbers. Just an FYI if you do decide to get the full disc just know it does not come with the enhanced photos. They made that change last year and I didn't know till I got the photos

I wasn't happy with the pictures at all. I should have insisted they redo them but the wait was soooo long, we were already there for almost 2 hours.

When I went back after my pics came in, I stood there for a little over a half an hour just to pick up the photos included with the groupon. Never again. The studio at the bayshore target is way better and they always have the same groupon deal.

ETA: I think the one I went to was bayshore though. I didn't realize there was a different location.

I've gone to JCP in Massapequa several times now for pics for DD. I've been very happy each time - if you could request Emily as your photographer, she's awesome. She's great with little kids, super patient, and a pleasure to work with. I'm probably going to go there for Easter pics this year (last year I did Picture People and wasn't too thrilled). They have some props there, numbers, letters, baskets, chairs etc. but if there's something special you want your DD to have, you'll probably need to bring it yourself.

Eta: I always do a groupon deal and then usually get the discounted digital pic album.
