IVF update
Well I am on my way!
Went in today for a urine test and blood work. My IVF calendar is being sent in the mail, but it looks like I will start stims the first week in July and will have my retreival/transfer the week after. I am going to the orientation tomorrow, and am having my water sono and biopsy next week. I will also be going for genetic testing next week as well. You should see my date book - it's packed! I will be all ready to go before I know it! I am so glad I am getting all of the preliminary "stuff" out of the way so quickly!
As for the water sono and biopsy, are they painful? Can I go alone? What should I expect?

Oh wait then- we'll be in the same week possibly b/c AF is showing today... so I'll probably start them in a few days. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning if she's 'full' by then... SO excited to go thru this w/ you!!!!!

I didn't have a biopsy but the water sono was a piece of cake...

Watersono is uncomfortable but doesn't hurt. I've had a biopsy at my gyn/oby, so if its the same kind it is no big deal either. Just a little scraping feeling and its over. Is that a biopsy of the cervix or uterus?

Good luck!!! If my IUI didn't work then I might be stimming along with you, or right after. The biopsy was just a little pinch and the watersono was not bad at all.

I had my endometrial biopsy done already. It was painful for me- but the pain lasted maybe a minute. My old RE did it, not dr K. He took what looked like a thin plastic straw and 'spun' it (think cotton candy- that's how he explained it to me) until some of my tissue came off-- a VERY small sample. GL!!!

Good Luck!!!!
The water sono and endometrial biopsy were, for me, along with the HSG the most uncomfortable parts of the entire IVF cycle, although the discomfort is pretty quick. They are over fast - take Advil beforehand for both of them. You can definitely go alone - I did, you will just feel a little crampy afterwards.
